Quirky? Who, Me?

Just when I start to feel like a normal, average kind of guy, Milk Treading gets named "quirky book of the week" by Luath Press.

What's so quirky about my first novel? Surely not the gangs of street cats in their bright red bandanas. Or the newspaper printers that spray scents on their pages instead of newsprint. Or the scene of catnip abuse that leads to a bout of drugged-up violence.

Okay, maybe the feline bishop (pictured above), who has a thing against clockwork mice because they're unnatural, is a bit quirky. Hasn't anyone read about a cat in a mitre before?
