Book Signing in Columbia, SC
Last time I appeared at The Happy Bookseller things didn't go so happily. A women's group was meeting there that night and one of the first things one of their members said was, "I don't like British authors." No generalizations there, of course. Being British and an author to boot, I felt a little alienated. But everything turned out okay and I sold some copies of my cat thriller The Kitty Killer Cult.
On Friday, August 29th I'll be braving the bookstore again to sign copies of Undead on Arrival. This will be in parallel with the shop's Happy Cafe slot, where people come to eat, drink and hopefully check out a book or two.
The Happy Bookseller is at 4525 Forest Dr., Columbia, South Carolina 29206. I'll be there from 1 to 2 p.m. For more info call (803) 782-2665.

11 BIZARRE THINGS EATEN BY MY OMNIVOROUS CAT
Many cats think they're (better than) people. My pet, Tips, goes one better by eating people food. That's food intended for people, not food made of people. Tips could never be considered a humanitarian.
Here's what her shopping list would look like if she didn't have slaves to go out & buy groceries for her:
1. Marshmallows
2. Pickled Beet juice
3. Bolognese sauce
4. Butter
5. Lasagna (probably)
6. Breakfast cereals
7. Spaghetti
8. Crisps
10. Cake Icing
11. Mac 'n' Cheese
Of course I don't actually feed that stuff to her. I'm too stingy to share my food. She steals my leftovers instead. Unlike me, her diet of human food seems to be doing her figure the world of good.
Looks like Tips has overdosed on anchovies again.
